Chalky Mount

The view from Chalky Mount is for hikers  or people who like to climb hills.  If you want to get to the top of Chalky Mount, you need to go with someone who has been before because there is no path or directions, it is an uphill hike/climb.

When you get to the top, you can see the whole of the East Coast, right to the edge of the island, looking right and left and when you turn you can see even more of the island.

It may take about 45 minutes to an hour to get to the top, depending on how fast you go and how many times you stop to take pictures.

I usually go with the intension of getting back before sunset but that is mostly because I climb with people who are not morning people and I prefer not to go in the dark since there is no path.  I have never seen sunrise from the top of Chalky mount and it will probably be great as the view looks over the East Coast.
